CLARIFICATION BY STRATECH ON THE BUSINESS TIMES ARTICLE ON 14 FEBRUARY 2003
SINGAPORE, February 14, 2003 – We refer to our press release "Stratech launches real-time travel information system in International Business Park" dated 13 February 2003 and the article in The Business Times entitled "Stratech unveils bus tracking info system" dated 14 February 2003.
Further to the press release and the article, we add that Dr Chew expressed that the Company is in preliminary stages of discussions with several parties, such as Singapore's bus associations and other business parks like One North, to explore the sale of the system. The Company also has plans to sell the system abroad to countries such as China, Australia, Greece and UK.
We further add that since 1999, the Company has invested close to $10 million to develop and infuse intelligence into transport systems. The bus tracking information system is one of the manifestations or fruits of the investments.
